Failure to submit a Form W-8BEN could result in paying either the full 30% rate or the backup withholding rate under section 3406. A U.S. citizen or resident alien will never have to complete a W-8 form. This usually applies to foreign-domiciled businesses and non-resident aliens. File the “X” return that is appropriate for the return on which the wages or compensation was originally reported (Forms 941-X, 943-X, 944-X, or CT-1X). QSEHRAs allow eligible employers to pay or reimburse medical care expenses of eligible employees after the employees provide proof of coverage. Who Can File W-8 Forms?

About Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement
Check this box if you are a military employer correcting Forms W-2 for members of the uniformed services. For the type of form, enter “2,” “2AS,” “2CM,” “2GU,” “2VI,” “2c,” “3,” “3SS,” or “3c.” For example, entering “2023” and “2” indicates that all the forms being corrected are 2023 Forms W-2. File a separate Form W-3c for each tax year, for each type of form, and for each kind of payer/employer combination. Use this box to correct items reported in box 14 of the original Form W-2 or on a prior Form W-2c. Check the boxes in box 13, under “Previously reported,” as they were checked on the original Form W-2.
- Enter the total of income taxes shown on the Forms W-2 paid to the CNMI in box 17.
- You should fill in any codes that apply to your being exempt from backup withholding or from Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) reporting.
